What would be some good advise when visiting puerto vallarta?

Take at least 2 weeks because there is so much to do and see. Start out slow, don't stuff yourself on the food and drink or you'll get sick and be careful in the sun for a few days. look people on here are going ot say,, drink beer, bring money, take shots of tequila, go to this restaurrant, do this, so that.. ect... but that is a given.. it is a tourist place and it will kick in once you are there... but the best best advice i can give you that can literally save your life is Stay away and or off the main state highway after 11:00pm !!!!! a lot, a lot of roberries, kindnapping i am not saying this will happen to you but if you do not do what i just told you, you will be very volnerable and an easy target specially cause you are tourist.... Vallarta is a great place but, it has the highway and the state of Jalisco which is where P vallarta is. connect the two major Drug and organized crime in mexsico Michoacan and Sinaloa. seriously make sure you be safe out at night. make sure you get a very trust worthy guide, taxi driver, and anyone close to you.... anyways.. i am not trying to scare you and you shouldnt! i would like you to enjoy your stay but be careful,You know those horrible stories of tourist getting harassed and a nightmare vacation in Mexico? Well, I would say 90% of those incidents could have been prevented if people would not go with the mentality of “oh, that is not going to happen to me. Why me? What are the chances? I am just going to go out there and party wreckless and let the other losers get in deep crap” anyways really enjoy your trip and hope you have a great great time out there.. this place is gorgeous, you will love it!What would be some good advise when visiting puerto vallarta?
Go on a tour and go off the beaten path. explore areas marked ';keep out.'; touch every kind of greenery you see. drink the water. drink excessive alchohol prior to any of the previous advice. this is adventure.

If you can't stand humidity- don't even go for at least two months. I almost fainted because of the weather. Very beautiful.
