Nobody has to advise him in this humor as it comes naturally for him---and has often been used against him. McCain is natural and down-to-earth. He will be a great president.
It's not a stretch to suggest that McCain's handlers advise that he keeps the mood light on occasion. He has a self-admitted short fuse, so appearing as more affable and light-hearted plays well. There's nothing wrong with this. Campaign teams perform many roles...image perception is one of them.
Actually his staff has to try to get him to keep his sense of humor in check. He has always been a joker and smart alec. It is one sign of a decent human being, unlike you Liberal wacks that take yourselves so seriously.
