A chinese student want your advise?

I am a Chinese student . I know little about the USA,especially your ideas about China.


The answer I want to ask is,Why Americans do not like the Chinese.


Since the relationship between China and America is very good in the second world war ,I can hardly know why Americas now hate China,especially in the1950-2000 .Nearly 50years.Why Americans make a friend in second world war into an enemy.And Japan,an enemy in the second world war is friend of America now. I can not understand.A chinese student want your advise?

The simple answer is the US government will be wary of any country big and powerful enough to be a threat. Right now, one of those countries is China.





Also, during the Cold War, the US was quite heavy into creating irrational hatred in the US population against communism. On top of that, there's the language barrier. And Chinese industrial strength, producing more for cheaper, is bad for US industry, which can't compete against Chinese volume and prices.





Basically, the rise of China means the US won't be #1 anymore and that's bad for the US. Why friends with Japan? Because they're between the US and China, simple as that.A chinese student want your advise?
well, basically Americans are afraid of the nations who can challenge their leading position in the world...


fear leads to hatred...


it's all about selfishness...
