Hi,
Removing the paint or not will depend on the state of it.
If it's in good condition the first thing to know is what kind of paint it is. Otherwise other stuff going on top may wrinkle it.
You'll also have to use a primer according to the paint you're going to use - again taking into account the paint already there. Mind that although one usually cannot use acrylic (solvent based) over synthetic, there are surfaces who permit an isolation of the synthetic to receive acrylics or cellulosics.
Anyway, sand the surface with a P600, for insteance, the degrease it. Apply the primer. The apply the paint .
It is important to respect the time between layers otherwise the solvent between layers won't evaporate (flash off) and you'll have problems. Either soon or later.
Now, if the paint is in bad condition, sand it down to the alluminium.
Your market is different from the market here in Portugal, so maybe you'll find a paint that can be used directly on alluminium (you may check Krilon/Krillon (?) )
Usually when painting on alluminium or zinc one uses a fosfatizing primer (2 components) or sometimes a Washprimer (2 components). These are applied with two VERY THIN coats. Then one can apply a regular primer.
Another primer that can be used on alluminium is an epoxy one (Ferrari's boddy is alluminium and uses an epoxy one if I'm not mistaken).

ah just put a great big sticker over the lot of it
I'd use quick dry acrylic spray unless you have access to professional equipment and a spray booth, (I'll assume you havent otherwise you wouldn't be asking on here) most pros would use two pack but it gives off toxic fumes so dont go up that route. high build primer will help ( but costly ) unless the aluminium has some oxidisation, I'd just flat off (take the shine off the existing paint) prime and spray over the top. If it has then treat the localised areas with 40grit emery cloth then a lighter grade to finish off, high build prime and do the same for the rest.
Im assuming this is a commercial grade paint job not a show winning custom finish you are after.

She is the most flip flop woman I have ever met. She is all about money. I moved out on Dec 12. I have not received anything from her.
Actually, I don't really want the money, but I just HATE to let her take advantage from me and others.

Many landlords do this. They know that you will have to take them to small claims court and they hang on to the cash. It costs 65 dollars to file a claim. Send her a registered letter and tell her that it is illegal to with hold the security dep. Tell her you will pick it up from her. If she doesn't comply then take her to court. You should want the money if you are entitled to it, take it back. Take her to the tenancy tribunal, they will help you get the money back. good luck

Send her a certified letter letting her know that you know the laws and request (demand) your money be returned with 7 days, if not you will see them in small claims court, where you could be awarded triple damages for their failure of following the law.
Why hasn't she returned it? Was the house left in a mess? If not then just do whta i did when it happened to me.

I spoke to the citizens advice who told me i had to do this first and keep a copy of the letter i made and send the letter recorded delivery so she cant worm out of it by saying she hasnt got the letter.

They may advise you to get a formal letter from a solicitor which costs about 拢30 and it will say if she does not return the money they will look to take her to the small claims court.

Your trip has just been cancelled because there has been a lot of damages throughout parts of Cuba. Cayo Coco is not part of the mainland and is connected via a causeway to Ciego de Avila. If there has been a need for repairs at hotels or roadways that would make travelling through Cuba difficult, then that could be the reason. It was a strange year for hurricanes and Cuba was hit badly this year.
I have just tried contacting friends that work at one of the resorts' offices in Cayo Coco as I have been having problems getting through on the phone with my friends there. Hopefully they will be able to communicate soon enough. Although I'm not too sure as there may be problems getting in to work right away.
Cuba is beautiful this time of year and most do not experience such severe weather. This has been unfortunate this year.
Hopefully this will not deter you from visiting Cuba after things clear up.
But one thing is that Cubans are resourceful and are quick to remedy the situations. Most likely the issue has been with flooding as the resorts in Cayo Coco/Guillermo are of course right on the ocean...but again, this isn't something that happens frequently if at all in that area.

(This is not a tax, so it is not related to the value of the goods inside the container). So this fee is so small that you put it as part of the freight charge.

SO, the question is what country are you importing to? I want to apply to uni to study primary school teaching next year. I have been trying to find out what I need to do and am finding the whole thing very confusing!
I want to study it as distance learning as I am 26 and need to work full time to pay rent etc. I wanted to do it through the Open Unversity but they don't offer that degree. Is there any way I can do it mostly from home? How does the whole process work? Please can someone help before I ull all my hair out!! ;-) Thanks! x xPlease can I get advise on primary school teaching?

The thing with primary school teaching, as I noticed some of the others have mentioned, is that it is very hands-on oriented. I know now a days you can take a good bulk of the classes online until you hit the point where you are focusing strictly on your major (Junior and Senior year).
I got through my degree (elementary ed) by pulling a lot of loans and scholarships. I lived off campus, paid rent + utilities and worked on campus part-time for extra income. It was a bumpy couple of years, but I made more in 1 year teaching to cover the 5 yrs of cost going to college, so it's worth it in the end.
Keep in mind with education, they will want you to do a lot of the stuff physically...like when you do your internships and field studies. If you wish to continue on in education after your undergrad, like I currently am, they really want to see how much actual experience you have...either from substituting, class requirements, student teaching, daycare help, etc. That might be hard for you to do with your current situation, but look at it as everything you do is resume worthy, and schools love seeing how much 'extra' you put in to get to where you are at.Please can I get advise on primary school teaching?
This kind of degree doesn't work with on-line or at home programs. It is very hands on and discussion oriented. In my experience I had to give lots of presentations, complete many group projects, and things that I NEEDED to be in a classroom setting for. Additionally, you have to do a lot of classroom observations and student teaching internships.

They have night classes and weekend classes. You should check with your surrounding schools to see if anything like this is available. The last semester is a practicum so you would have to do observations and student teaching in a school at that point.

Usually they know exactly wht classes u need to take on the campus and others which you can take on line. Now, the things that need to be taken in the campus are like: group related / interaction with kids/ observation/presentations, most of the time these classes are taught in the morning hours. Others such as english,math, etc can be taken on-line. But go and call your adacemic adviser at your local comm. college and set an appointment ASAP so that you know first hand wht subjects require wht type of enviroment for teaching. Best of Luck

I Need help or advise house breaking a male miniature Daschund, who is 7 months old. Any Ideas?
We have serious issues with trying to house break a 7 month old Daschund. We have him on routine potty breaks outside; which most of the time will not go - he wait's until he get's back in the house, even after a 30 minute trip outside. I spend more time on my knee's cleaning up urine stain's from the carpet, and picking up poop than I do running after our 2 1/2 year old grandson. I have tried ';Matching'; him and that has worked in the past, but didn't do a thing to ';train'; him to go outside. I have resorted to putting down puppy training pads in the house. I really need to get a handle on this, we or I cannot continue to deal with the potty issue's. Please I need serious advice or tips to get a handle on this.. Please. As a dachshund breeder, I think I can help. Since the pup is still only 7 months old, start crate training. I only use the peepee pads when the pups are really young..
Once you bring the pup back in the house, immediately put him in the crate and leave him there. Take him back out (carry, don't let him walk) to go potty after an hour. Crate him again and he will get the idea. Just keep up on the new routine and he will figure out that only going outside is the way to do things.
Also, only feed him twice a day. He will need to go 20-30 minutes after eating.

Get a leash that you can easily put around your waist then you can keep him near you at all times. every hour take him out and when he does ';go'; praise him and have a special pee word that you say while hes peeing.

if you see him peeing in the house say ';no'; sharply. and if you bring him out and he actually goes. give him a big treat and a lot of praise.
Perhaps you should invest in a crate. Punishing a puppy after the deed has already been done in the house does not work - he will not understand that you are punishing him for going in the house and will probably think you are punishing him for going at all.
Crate training means if he doesn't hold it, he will be going to the bathroom in the place that he is sleeping. Get a crate that is big enough for him, but not too big, because if he goes in the corner of the crate and is able to avoid it then you're not solving the problem.
Perhaps his control isn't where it should be, yet, because he is still young. I say do the crate idea, expect accidents, and hopefully it will get better with time.
Keep him on a schedule. Don't stay outside for so long. Instead, stay outside for fifteen minutes. If he doesn't go, bring him inside and keep him in your eyesight. If you keep him in your eyesight you can catch him in the act if he tries to go potty inside. Fifteen minutes later, try again. Do this until he goes potty. If he goes inside, make sure to clean the spot up really, really well so he can't sniff it out later. Have you tried crate training? Walks are also another way for him to get out and go potty, he'll want to mark his territory.
The first step is to get rid of the puppy pads - they'll just confuse him.
You'll need to start back at square one.
1. Take him out at least every two-three hours until he's housetrained - don't give him a chance to eliminate inside.
2. Don't spend half an hour outside - spend five minutes. Stand in one place in your yard (he needs to be on a leash) and let him circle around you.
3. If he doesn't go, no worries, just pop him back in his crate (more on this later) and try again in half an hour. He needs to learn that going potty outside is a fast business.
4. If he does go, make it a party. Praise him big, give him a treat or two (or three), and take him on at least a short walk before going back inside.
5. If you catch him making a mistake in the house, grab a newspaper, roll it up tight, and smack yourself in the head. You should have either took him out earlier, or watched him more closely. Just quietly clean it up - don't scold or punish him. Punishment will only:
1. Make him distrust or dislike you.
2. Teach him that it's okay to eliminate when you're not watching. If he hides to eliminate somewhere in your house, you won't yell at him.
3. Make him nervous about eliminating in front of you, whether it's inside or out.
6. Crate-training is a must for housetraining. A dog will not eliminate in a crate if crate-trained - he sees it as his den. A crate lets you decide when he needs to go out, and keeps him from making a mistake (or getting into mischief) when you can't watch him.

I have been with my employers since January 2004. I began in the call centre and was there for 18 months before securing a role in another department on a 6 month secondment.
After the 6 months expired, it was extended for another 6 months after which I was told that due to structural reorganisation, my secondment would be like a ';running contract'; - they will keep me on the team for as long as they can but I could risk going back to the call centre at any time.
After which I applied and got a higher role in the same department - again on a 6 month secondment.
I have just found out today that my team is being made redundant. I've been told that my job is safe but I risk going back to the call centre if I am unsuccessful in applying for the vacancies created by the company reshuffle. The team will be defunct and my colleagues will receive redundancy payments if they are unsuccesful/or choose not to apply for these vacancies.

On the facts you have outlined, you are entitled to redundancy - unless you are re-assigned to the call centre.

All the above advice is good about Yangshuo, it is in a beautiful part of China with great scenery. Yangshuo is very much a tourist town and you can get western food and see foreigners all over the town. The pleasure of Yangshuo is to get out of the town, so rent a bicycle and go out to the countryside.
When you get tired of Yangshuo, take a bus south to LiPu. LiPu is in the same beautiful landscape but it is Chinese. You will see no western faces here, no western food, no KFC or MacDonalds. Prices are cheaper and you can rent a bicycle and go out to the countryside where people will invite you to have lunch with them. The Golden Dragon hotel is excellent and cheap.I want to go to Guilin, China from Hong Kong. Any advise?
There is no point in going to Guilin without visiting Yangshuo. There isn't much to see in Guilin city. Get to Yangshuo. It is a bit touristy but the scenery is beautiful. Hire a bike and get out of town.
To get to Yangshuo head for Guilin Railway Station. Buses leave every few minutes. When you arrive in Yangshuo have a walk around there are hotels to suit every budget.
Guilin is ok for an afternoon, visit the Elephant Trunk, 7 Star Park and then move to Yangshuo, Spend a couple of days here, the minimum you should do is:
- raft on the Yulong river (near Moonhill), bring bicycle on the raft and cycle back
- Visit Xingping in the morning. Best to do is get a boat early morning (leave Yangshuo at 6, see website) and arrive at about 8 in Xingping, it's the best time of the day (forget the river cruise, this is MUCH better)
- see the Liu Sanjie Lightshow at night, I was reluctant the first time but it's worth every yuen,
- eat at Cloud 9 at least once

I want to apply to uni to study primary school teaching next year. I have been trying to find out what I need to do and am finding the whole thing very confusing!
I want to study it as distance learning as I am 26 and need to work full time to pay rent etc. I wanted to do it through the Open Unversity but they don't offer that degree. Is there any way I can do it mostly from home? How does the whole process work? Doctors might not advise it, but I had a breast pump and pumped a little and had contractions within 24 hours and when I got checked I was 3 1/2 cm. My milk also came in really fast and in large amounts. And when you start to feel contractions, walk and walk and walk. and warm baths help regulate contractions. Good luck and congrats on you soon to be baby.

If it's physically impossible for you to attend a university in person, then an online program may be your only option. In that case, in addition to U of Phoenix, I also ask that you consider online/distance learning programs from other schools which have better academic reputations - and there are plenty. One I've mentioned before, just as an example, is the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. They offer degrees online, and also have a strong offline reputation for academics.
Then again, the school you pick is dependant on a lot of factors. But do keep in mind that what employers think afterwards does count. In general, a degree from U Phoenix, or Devry, or ITT Tech, may get you more than no degree at all. But if you're being compared against candidates with degrees from stronger schools, then...I'm sorry, but most employers do take that sort of thing into consideration.
I'm a CPA and have hired/fired/supervised people for about 10 years. I wouldn't hire anyone with an online degree unless I knew them well, or they had lots of quality experience in the field.
All in all, I personally think it would probably make you a stronger person to do it, but I wouldn't count on it helping you get a job in your field of study.

I had the car fixed. The actual temp knob on the dash was stripped. So when I turned to hot or cold the knob was not gripping, but just going through the motion. $10 fixed the problem!

Getting induced at 4:30 am, any words of advise this is my first baby?

I was induced..it was my first. Everyone says it hurts more but since i had nothing to compare with i do not know. I was induced at 8 in the evening the contractions started at 11pm..real pain started around 12am. I gave birth at a baby boy at 4.19am so about 4 hrs of strong pain. First hr i just had gas and air and then a pain relief injection. Did not want the epidural. When the time came to push it was such a relief..I loved pushing because by that time there was not pain just an urgent need to push. My advise is try and listen to the midwife/doctor. if they tell you to stop pushing then try to stop as there is a period that you should not push so as not to tear. Keep breathing, scream and holer if you want to and remeber that soon you will have a gorgeous new life in your arms..Good luck and god blessGetting induced at 4:30 am, any words of advise this is my first baby?
Okay, keep in mind labor will be ALL worth it in the end. Its going to hurt a bit more since it is being induced. Breathe, relax and take deep breaths. No one can really prepare you for what is about to happen. It is such a life altering thing. I remember being completely shell shocked after and the first thing I said after giving birth was ';well, THAT was quite an experience'; also pushing dosent come naturally to some women, just push like you need to poo.

Hi, I wouldn't say that labor will probably be hard...but if you had birthing classes please remember to breath...Just relax as much as you can. I was induced and was in labor all nite, not hard though contractions never got really bad. Ended up having a c-sect though anyway. Good luck and congrats!!
EAT. You will burn 1000's of calories during labor and delivery and it's total BS that hospital policy (usually) is no food. Your body needs fuel to have this baby.
So if that is your hospital policy, eat a big breakfast before you head there.

But, I'm excited for you. Your baby will be here hopefully within 24 hours :)

The PTA is dependent on the assessment of the PT and cannot ';add'; extra treatments to the program without further assessment by the PT.
Both PTs and PTAs can impliment treatment programs, but only the PT can complete assessments and recommend treatment.

Well, you can go to a marriage counselor to understand your role in the failed marriage, and to get rid of your ';baggage';. You can also take some time to ';find yourself'; and not rush into another relationship or do the ';rebound thing';. It may feel like the end of the world for you and for that I am sorry for you. However, it is not the end of the world, and everyday from now on will remove a little of the hurt and loss you feel until you are ';healed'; from this emotional setback in your life. One day, you will know when its time to find another mate. There is someone out there in that crazy world of ours that will be looking for you when the time is right. I watched what I wanted on TV (I rarely turned it on), I enjoyed the silence and solitude, I stayed up as late as I wanted, or went to bed early...I bought what I wanted, and didn't have to debate it. I could wake up crabby, and be that way all damn day!
Gosh, hon...you can do what YOU want, so love every day!

3rd week repeat week 1
4th week repeat week 2
If you feel ill during this programme add some low fat yogurt etc to the diet
eat 4 meals per day and no crisps etc at all
No meat during 'odd number weeks'
chicken and loads of oily fish on the even number weeks.
Nuts etc from health shops, brazils, walnuts etc and raisins, etc for snacking. NO peanuts, salted or dry roasted. Any other nuts are fine. Keep the snacks varied.
Drink 3 - 5 pints of water per day in small quantities and especially after walking.
2nd month start adding light exercise in the house, sit ups etc to the routine. keep those muscles active throughout. SWIM at least 3 times per week. See your doctor if you haven't already about the thyroid problem. If it is actually affecting your weight (hypoactive thyroid can case weight gain, if signifiant enough) then you should probably be on synthetic thyroid hormone replacement therapy.
Do NOT abuse this in hopes of losing more weight ... hyperactive thyroid is a disease also and affects your health too. Reading about diabetic women skipping their insulin to lose weight (and discovering a few years later that their internal organs are fragile and decaying due to poorly controlled diabetes) was just... sad.

Don't eat after 6 pm ever. Don't cheat, you're only fooling yourself and don't skip workouts. for time, i would suggest a little bit of weight lifting. for weight, vary your routine. throw some longer runs in there
Your body got too efficient at that running that it no longer really burns any weight. You have got to change what you are doing. Maybe instead do some sprinting workouts. Sine your average km is 5 minutes try a sprinting workout where you run a 1k in 4 minutes, then take a rest and try it again.

Their daily 'Bluesplate Special is one not to miss and did I mention the 'Gator'. This cat is abso%26amp;*^^##lutely hilarious and of course hey has an incredible knowledge and library of Blues recordings second to none. My husband just moved to evening shift and I work days. I have a 5 year old and a 7 year old and a 2 month old. After I had my youngest I wan on pain meds and I found that when I would take them they would give me a burst of energy and I would be able to clean house and become supermom. I was able to enjoy spending time with my children without feeling so stressed being the only parent and when I wouldn't take them I was so exhausted and it was hard to get anything done. I ran out and dealt with it and then my husband got some for an earache and I started taking them again. I am almost out and I don't want to have to take them to feel like I have more energy. It's not the high feeling that I am addicted too, it is the energy that it gives me. I am wondering if anyone knows of a safer way for me to get this energy or if anyone has been in my situation and what they did to help them.May be addicted to pain meds need advise?
Yes, you are addicted. No, there isn't anything you can take to get that feeling. You aren't supposed to feel great all the time. That's life. What you have with those pills is unnatural.

What bmac said is true. I work in medicine, and you don't know how many people I see all the time that are drug seekers. The best thing you can do is to talk to someone about getting off of them. It's going to be hard, I'm not going to lie to you, but it will be worth it. Your kids will benefit if nothing else. You may think that they give you energy and you are a better person on them, but they have side effects, and some you may not be seeing. There are things that will help with energy, but you won't get the same feeling you got with the meds. You need to work on your health, mental as well as physical. You can try changing your diet and exercising. This can give you a lot of energy.

Be supportive, but somewhat strict.
Let her know that no self-destructive behavior will be tolerated. If she really wants to get clean, she will understand that you are doing that because you love her, and in the end it will work out.

You must tell her there will be no drugs or alcohol brought into your home. Why would you have her move in with you anyway. If she has no place else to go then you have to take a chance, but if there is any other place to go she should go there. She can sign herself into a drug rehabilitation home which would be for the best. Tell her when she arrives she needs to go get help before she moves in with you. Tell her you love her, but you have so much to lose.I wouldn't let her come into your home to live until she is clean. You know what will happen to you if you do drugs again, then you won't be able to help anyone including yourself. Think long and hard. That is why we co-dependent people need a lot of help especially with those we love. That is why it is called Tough Love.
Having lived with someone who was ';trying to recover'; before... Set your ground rules and stick to them. I shared a place with my step sister and her boyfriend..a nd I told them up front that if they fell off the wagon, I was leaving. Sure enough. they fell off the wagon. I moved out within the week. A down side to having drugies live with you, is that they steal your stuff, or their friends steal your stuff.
Put a lock on your bedroom door and make sure you always lock it and keep anything you dont want stolen in there. Video games, checks, electronics... LOCK THEM UP.
Set rules about who she brings over. Any friends with drug problems.. ban them. They will get her in trouble and they will mess things up for you.
If she slips up.. Dont coddle her. No second chances. Kick her out. Make her actually rely on herself. With my step sister, my parents kept coddling her, and even today shes 27 and they still provide for her and coddle her. She wont ever get better because she doesnt have to. They enable her. They always provide her with money or a place to stay or food or anhything she needs... So dont get caught up in that vicious cycle. In the end, its kinder to be stern.

you have to be hard and harsh with them
she gives up or moves out
