Can someone advise me about why there is a blank page between my header & footnote?

Please Help?? I am using the old yahoo e-mail because it is more convenient for me, as I am more familiar with it. Something is happening and I am at my wits end. This is one problem I have never had before. It shows that I have e-mail, but when I open them there is just a blank page between the user %26amp; sender addresses/Subject, and the footnote section. Just a blank page, not just on regular e-mail, but also on bulk mail. Does anyone have any advise that might be helpful. I am going nuts over this. This has happened several times this week. I don't know if it's something yahoo is doing, or what. Thanks for any help you might be able to give. By the way, I use windows vista basic. sweetmeanerCan someone advise me about why there is a blank page between my header %26amp; footnote?
Try Print copy = It will show the message.

OR Click Reply button to the message. Then when read click the back button.

OR Put the message in Word or Excell and read it.

OR = Select any email where the header information is displayed, but there is nothing in the

';body'; of the message where you would expect to find text, etc.

Move your mouse to the area of the expected ';body'; of the message and right-click...on

the menu that appears, click on ';Encoding';...on the menu that appears, if ';Auto Select';

has a check mark, leave it as is...if not click ';Auto Select';; then this menu will

disappear...right click again in the ';body'; to cause the same menu to display again...then

click on ';Western European (Windows)';...you should now be able to view the ';body'; of

all messages that you couldn't view before...obviously, if the problem somehow occurs

again, do the same procedure described above again. I have no idea how or why these

settings get ';changed'; or ';corrupted'; after everyday use, but apparently they sometimes

do.Can someone advise me about why there is a blank page between my header %26amp; footnote?
Somehow the procedure that retrieves your email messages from the Yahoo servers is being interrupted, so the message hasn't fully loaded. It loads the header, but not the body of the message. If you were to wait a while, the message would likely load... eventually... but typically the connection 'times out' before that can happen.

You could try closing the message and reopening it to force the page to reload. Or wait till a time of day when the internet isn't so busy. You may have better luck then.

Worried-please advise-I had a large molar tooth extracted today.?

Its still bleeding quite heavily 7 hours later.

I`m woried about when I go to sleep-what will make it stop bleeding-I kept the gauze pad the dentist put over it,on for 3 hours-but it hasn`t stopped the blood.

I hope I don`t sound like a baby-hopefully someone has a good suggestion !

ThanksWorried-please advise-I had a large molar tooth extracted today.?
Yes ...Change the gauze and biting down . Sit and relax, elevate your feet . Pressure from the gauze applied to the area is a big help, another thing that help is a moist tea bag to bite down on . I have had a bottom LT molar removed just 2 weeks ago, I completely understand your worry. By the time i went to bed mine had slowed i did roll up gauze to place in there for bed. And by the next day i was able to start the warm salt water rinses to help, still kept gauze in throughout day as needed , just not as much. Good luck still mending over here with the rawness.Worried-please advise-I had a large molar tooth extracted today.?
If you've taken it out, you need to put the packing from the dentist back in (either get some clean gauze if you have it, or call the dentist for more). It can take many hours for bleeding to stop from pulled teeth. I've known people who had to keep the packing in from wisdom tooth extractions for up to 2 days.
You must keep changing gauze pads until bleeding stops. Bleeding is different in everyone. That's why they give you such a large amount of gauze to take home. So calm down, and don't worry. Your fine, just give yourself a little TLC. Re-read the dentist instructions, and if you have any questions, call the dentists office before they close.

Your bleeding is normal, just keep gauze and pressure on the extraction. It's also going to hurt like hell when the anesthetic wears off. So take pain meds when you start gaining feeling back. Don't wait until it starts to hurt.
Pressure usually stops or decreases bleeding ...like biting down on the gauze pad. Call your dentist and tell him you are still bleeding. It does seem like a long time 7 hrs later but it may seem like you are bleeding more than you are. Better to be safe than sorry. Put in a call for the dentist. If you are not able to contact him go to an urgent care center or Emergency Room. G.L.
I don't think you were supposed to take the gauze out. You need the gauze to stay in there for quite awhile before it heals.
There's nothing to worry about. I got mine pulled as well and they bled for 15 or so hours. Biting on the gauze pads helps a lot. If it's still bleeding by tomorrow, and you're still concerned, then it may be a good time to call the doctor!
Sometimes a little blood goes a long way. The blood you have is mixing with saliva and it looks like alot. Bite down on more guaze and change it once an hour. If you don't have guaze, use a moistened tea bag (it acts as an astringent). The bleeding should diminish. Once the clot forms, it will contract over 24 hour or so, thus oozing out red blood cells. If you've been taking lots of aspirin, advil, or aleve, this has thinned your blood and has prolonged the bleeding time. Also try some ice on the area. That should help it slow down. Sleep tonight sligtly elevated, with an old towel over your pillow. If the bleeding is still significant tomorrow, or you're not sure it is, return to your dentist for a look see

Good Luck!
I worked for an oral %26amp; Maxillofacial surgeon for 7 years. Heavy bleeding.. ie. filling your mouth up within minutes when it is closed.. is not normal. It would indicate that you have not formed a clot in the socket that will eventually lead to a very painful condition known as a dry socket. Try this and see if it doesn't help. Take an ordinary dry teabag, place over the socket where the tooth came out and bite down on it. Leave it there as long as possible. If this does not reduce the bleeding then contact the surgeon who removed the tooth as you might need to have the socket packed to subside the bleeding.

  • Anyone have advise for intro. of new dog to cat?

I'm adopting a rat terrier this afternoon, he is 9mos. old. I have a four year old cat at home, anyone have any advise on how to introduce them without them attacking each other?Anyone have advise for intro. of new dog to cat?
I recently brought home a 6 1/2 week old Lab puppy. I have a cat which is 1 1/2 years old. I had the cat first so that did help a lot!!!!

When we brought the puppy home I kept her in one room so I could keep a close watch on her. I let the cat come up to the puppy on her own!!! Since the puppy was so small that helped a lot. The cat was bigger than the puppy so the puppy was kind of scared to start off with!!

The cat would come up to the puppy and smell on her. I always made sure the cat had a safe place to go to . A room where she could be by herself. I have a gate up where the cat can go and sleep in the spare bedroom. I keep the litter box in our bathroom along with the food and water for the cat. You want to make sure the puppy doesn't get the cat food!!

My cat likes to be in the living room where we all are at. So I have a high place so she can stay away from our puppy but she can see all what is going on as well!!

My cat has been the one that starts all the playing. She will run and jump on our puppy. I keep telling our puppy to be careful. With your dog being so small I don't think you have to worry about your dog hurting the cat!

Make sure you give your cat a lot of attention. You don't want the cat to get jealous and start making messes in the house.

Good LuckAnyone have advise for intro. of new dog to cat?
Have them in adjacent rooms with a baby gate in between so they can get used to both the sight and scent of each other. Only when they seem relatively calm, can you let them together, making sure the cat can get away from the puppy. They don't need to be friends, only tolerate each other, so you're going to need patience, especially with a puppy who's instinct is to chase the cat (he is a terrier).
i had a rat terrior and i loved her but she was extremely hyper. So i wouldnt let the cat and the dog out by themselves bc im sure you would have problems. Try holding both of them to let them smell eachother and things like that. Make sure u put both of them in seperate rooms when you leave home until they get used to one another.

Can someone advise as to a free/low cost criminal legal aid/attorney for a misdemeanor offense?

I am in legal trouble for a class 1 misdemeanor/ no victim involved. I was granted a public pretender who was unwilling to advance a valid defense in my behalf and only pushed for an expedited case through plea bargain. Now things have snowballed and I stand to go to jail which will cause me to lose my home, job, vehicle, community credibility, etc. I cannot find any REAL and ACTUAL local legal aid. I am not wealthy and have already spent all my savings and more on fines, etc. This is a nonviolent crime involving simple possession of about $2 worth of pot. The courts have lawyers and I don't. This doesn't seem like justice to me. I can't even get the public defender to listen or validate my side of this matter. I am being pushed along and can't seem to stop this now. Help please. Don't lecture me about pot, I need help, not sarcasm. Thank youCan someone advise as to a free/low cost criminal legal aid/attorney for a misdemeanor offense?
wow, i find this hard to imagine - how can such a small amount of weed carry likely jail time - i don't get it.

that said, just go online and do some research and find a lawyer service - they are out there and some are very good and very smart.

usually these guys will give you a free consultation - basically a free hour of time where you can explain your entire situation and they can try to win you as a client.

a friend of mine used one of these services to find a local attorney who he was able to pay in installments. the whole cost ended up being about $2500.00 - paid in installments of about $750.00. this guy totally got the job done and my friend got a continuance without a finding - meaning that if he stays out of trouble while he's on probation, he will not have a criminal record after his probation is up.

the whole thing came down to getting some continuances and then having the case pled before a judge that this attorney knew would be sympathetic.

go and talk to some lawyers, they will at least give you a consult for free and find someone who can get the job done.

also, start seeing a therapist - don't even ask why, just do it - it helped my friend.

good luck - the law can be brainless at times...Can someone advise as to a free/low cost criminal legal aid/attorney for a misdemeanor offense?
Contact your state's Bar Association. In almost every state attorneys are required to complete a certain # of ProBono hours each year. (40 hours in Arkansas.) Also, just because you THINK you have a valid defense, it may not legally be a defense at all.
You can ask for a court appointed att. They tell you when they read you your rights.
Try calling the United Way, I don't know if where you are they have a legal aid agency, but, it's worth a try. They may not take these kinds of cases as many agencies of the United Way are hurting for $$$.

Holy Cow, Can I ask what state you are in? This seems pretty severe for that small of an amount. I'm assuming it is a small amount, considering what you hear on the news that they arrest people with. They must not have problems with prison overcrowding.

If all else fails, I would tell that court, that your appointed attorney is not following your wishes and that you do not wish to plea bargain. I would very respectfully!!!!!!! request another attorney.

That would be a severe penalty to loose your home, car and so on. Is it possible, since it's a non-victim crime, to get work release?

    PS

That was an excellent suggestion, Gracie
See if there is a local law school in your area. They may have legal clinics.

Give me advise how to lose weight?

I lost 50 pounds, and gained all the weight back in less than a year! I'm grieving now for the loss of my dad, and have to lose weight for my health, and because I feel more down because of my weight.Give me advise how to lose weight?

DO NOT CUT EATING FOODS!!! What you need to do is eat a balanced breakfast everyday. This stimulated the metabolism early in the morning and gets your body working early. I am a master fitness trainer in the military and all of the guys who are overweight use this technique. After about 30 days, the pounds start to come off. You should't have to watch your food intake too much. If you use splenda or any other artificial sweetener, you should stop that too.

If all else fails, determine your caloric intake for the day. Do this by taking a number between 12 and 16: 12 being inactive and 16 being active. Be honest with yourself and give yourself a number and multiply it by your weight. That should be what you are taking in per day.

Example: I am really active, and do an hour of work out a day, so i give myself the number 15. I am 165 lbs, so my caloric intake per day is: 15x165=2475. So, to lose weight, I have to eat under 2475 calories per day. You still have to eat, and you shouldn't try to cut down on intake too much at a time. Cut off about 300 calories to begin with and slowly cut it more. This is the old fashion way of doing it, but I would use it as a last resort.

The average healthy persons diet consists of 60-75% carbohydrates, 15-25% protein, and 5-15% fat. If you track your diet, it should be in this ballpark.Give me advise how to lose weight?
-in the beginning of my dieting [and i lost alot of weight this way], i only ate 850 calories a day for 7 days. then the 8th day i ate whatever i was craving.. this helps because it speeds your metabolism again to burn alot of calories [when your only gonna be taking in 850 the next day] and its something to look forward to so that you dont quit your diet. Do this for 2 weeks and i promise you will see results. But the only problem is after 2 weeks, if you still want to lose more weight, you will have to start a new plan because after 2 weeks, your body adjusts to only burning 850 calories a day.

-Exercise, believe it or not, is better than cutting down on junk food. If you go to the gym, be motivated by the person next to you. The trick i use is like if im on a treadmill and my speed is 3.7 and the person next to me is 3.9.. i go on 4.1 .... if the person next to me burned 200 calories and i only burned 150, i try and go soo much faster than them to beat them.

-Motivation = Success.... if theres a certain celebrity whose body you wish you had [for me its Francia Almendè°©rez], then look at pictures of her and look at yourself in the mirror, and your concious will automatically be more motivated.

    - a tip: when eating, eat very slow because the slower you eat, the more you feel like you ate, the easier your full. This is why people say dont eat while you watch tv... because you are so distracted by tv that you keep on eating everything.

-another tip: drink alot of water

-one last tip: dont drink as you eat because thats known to cause a belly... wait about 30 minutes after eating to drink. This also helps because your thirst will convince you that your full just because you still got another 30 minutes to go before you can drink.

This is the ideal menu for a day

    Breakfast: grapefruit

Lunch: salad with w/e vegetables you tolerate and chicken [sorta like a cesar salad]

    Snack: lowfat yogurt

    Dinner: 2 boiled eggs

The trick to diets is once you get off of a diet when youve reached your desired weight, you shouldnt go back to your old eating habits that got you that way in the first place...start limiting yourself to about 1500 calories and/or eating a little above moderately and exercise alot

    good luck.

    hope this helps =)
i'm so sorry about your dad, but try this.

-Monday, Wednaday, Friday:do to the gym and do 30 minutes of cardio, an then 30 minutes of weights

-Tuesday, Thursday:go for a bikeride, run , or swim for about 30-45 minutes

    - do some crunches at home every once in a while, they are great for your belly

    - on top of that eat healthy

    examples

    - instead of a cinnamon roll for breakfat have some fruit and cereal

    - instead of chips for a snack have a protein bar

    - when at a restaraunt have a salad instead of a cheeseburger

-have sanwhiches that have meat, lettuce, and cheese(for lunuch) with fruit on the side

    -a great snack is yogurt!

    - lastly, try to eat no more than 1800 calories a day!

eating healthy and working out should help you lose weight. plus, if you work out daily like i have typed above you should burn about 700 calories a day!

  • I need advise bad trouble with other girl?

I broke down and had a threesome now my my boyfriend wants to include her in every time, she isn't so good in bed and fakes cumming for him, I've told him all this and he just gets mad and yells please what can I do.He's a new boyfriend only been dating for a month and a halfI need advise bad trouble with other girl?
It's your turn for some fun - time for a MFM threesomeI need advise bad trouble with other girl?
    GOOD FOR YOU LYNN!

I suggest you address your concerns with him and say you gave him a lot of trust and you want her to be able to climax properly to make it ALWAYS better.

I would suggest bringing up the option to him of you better bieng able to bond with hier and it would make your threesomes better if he watched, while you and she got it on, tease him.

this will do two things- 1, you will be able to gague his attraction to her and you, and 2- it will enable you to bond with your ';third';.

just talk to him and tell him if you are going to continue beyond that that you need to set some guidelines and communicate.

a threesome can be a great thing, but also a very very dangerous thing if you don't set parameters.

sounds to me like you didn't discuss the ramifications and realities before hand and unless you do now it will cost you your relationship.
This is the risk you have to take in threesomes.

Talk to your boyfriend and tell him how you feel and how its hurting you.

And if You don't wont a threesome refuse to have it.And tell her to back off and how you feel,He he does cheat on you and gets mad he obviously

doesn't care what you think, you can find btter blokes
It will be hard now to keep with the same relationship. But if you don't want any three some then just say no when he asks for it. Now try to satisfy him so he doesn't have to look for someone else. If she fakes cumming and you know this and you are aware he likes it then you should try faking it too and if it doesn't work then there is nothing you can do
Break it off, Tell him that if he's so interested in her, he can go pursue her because it OVER between you guys. You were nice enought to have a 3some which most girls wouldnt do for their man. (I know i wouldnt, f*ck that fool) anyways, if he doesnt beg you not to break up with him, then that means that he wants to be w. her. So just move on. He'll see that she's a faker and she proabably doesnt even want to be with him and he'll soon be crawling back pleading you to get back with him.
he is obviously just in it for the sex i dont think you should be with him if hes not in it to be with someone he likes.
Wow. A new bf and you've already had a 3 way with him? If he's that new I would just replace him, seems like he likes that other skank better anyway.
Dump him before it hurts you real bad. No one deserves to be yelled at. Find someone as passionate but more educated.
Why don't you stop having other people join your relationship.
    Break up with him.

Tell him if you on your own isn't satisfying him in bed, end it.

You deserve someone who wasnt ONLY you..

    x
nice relationship. it's over...your ';boyfriend'; is just looking for easy sex.
Do what your heart tells you! Or just enjoy the moment. Maybe if you don't particularly like this girl why not finding new one or even a new boyfriend??
that is no bf honey. he is using you CLEARLY.
    well... break up with him.
well you should break up with him,

My sister is an addict and she is coming to live with me...any advise?

Did I mention that I am in recovery and have been clean for 3 years on May 6! I really want to help her and I really believe she is ready to help herself...I just have so much to lose! She already has her bus ticket and will be here on Thursday...I just would like to know if anyone has any encouraging words or any advise for me?My sister is an addict and she is coming to live with me...any advise?
    Be supportive, but somewhat strict.

Let her know that no self-destructive behavior will be tolerated. If she really wants to get clean, she will understand that you are doing that because you love her, and in the end it will work out.

Hope all goes well.My sister is an addict and she is coming to live with me...any advise?
You must tell her there will be no drugs or alcohol brought into your home. Why would you have her move in with you anyway. If she has no place else to go then you have to take a chance, but if there is any other place to go she should go there. She can sign herself into a drug rehabilitation home which would be for the best. Tell her when she arrives she needs to go get help before she moves in with you. Tell her you love her, but you have so much to lose.I wouldn't let her come into your home to live until she is clean. You know what will happen to you if you do drugs again, then you won't be able to help anyone including yourself. Think long and hard. That is why we co-dependent people need a lot of help especially with those we love. That is why it is called Tough Love.
Having lived with someone who was ';trying to recover'; before... Set your ground rules and stick to them. I shared a place with my step sister and her boyfriend..a nd I told them up front that if they fell off the wagon, I was leaving. Sure enough. they fell off the wagon. I moved out within the week. A down side to having drugies live with you, is that they steal your stuff, or their friends steal your stuff.

Put a lock on your bedroom door and make sure you always lock it and keep anything you dont want stolen in there. Video games, checks, electronics... LOCK THEM UP.

Set rules about who she brings over. Any friends with drug problems.. ban them. They will get her in trouble and they will mess things up for you.

If she slips up.. Dont coddle her. No second chances. Kick her out. Make her actually rely on herself. With my step sister, my parents kept coddling her, and even today shes 27 and they still provide for her and coddle her. She wont ever get better because she doesnt have to. They enable her. They always provide her with money or a place to stay or food or anhything she needs... So dont get caught up in that vicious cycle. In the end, its kinder to be stern.
three years is a big commitment well done for you

you should know then that every word that comes out of an addicts mouth is a lie

an addict cant love anyone other than their drug

    addicts are users

addicts have ne remorse on using your heart strings which while they will cry and wail about dint feel it

if you depressed or have a fight or life dumps you and you go i cant stand this any more will you be able to resist?

its a huge risk if she doesn't want to give up too?

    pay attention to her Friends

if they look like users they are

if she is with users she is using

you have to be hard and harsh with them

she gives up or moves out

i know you did it for love, but she doesn't love you she loves the drug
Maybe you should put her in a hotel or have her live with a different family member if there is one close in the area. She won't be mad at you for this if you sit down and explain exactly what you explained here. You need to help yourself maintain your sobriety, that's the most important thing at this time.
dont do it! make her go to rehab as soon as she gets off the bus it not yall mise well go together and do the drugs because she is just going to want and talk you into doing them agian. you shouldnt even be around someone like that, you have to worry about yourself you have a lot to loose dont do it
My advice would have been for her to go to rehab first. One way to break your sobriety is by being around others that do drugs, alcohol etc. It's really easy to get back into whatever your addiction was. Congratulations on your sobriety. Hopefully your sister will do the same.
just do what you can girl its your sister you must help her it may be hard but you will get there in the end i would do the same for any of my family well done x
You can't do what a professional can do. Don't let her stay at your house until she gets some help. She will only pull you down and you don't need that.
hide you money lol but umm its not that bad Living with an addict and if shes been off for 3 years it really shouldn't be difficult at all just dont encourage her to do anything she dont want to that has to do with whatever drug she was on
Well there has to be rules straight off. You know about drugs so dont let anything suspicious go, if it gets out of hand she must leave and go to a professional establishment to deal with this.
At the end of the day just offer her all your love and support and believe in her

May be addicted to pain meds need advise?

My husband just moved to evening shift and I work days. I have a 5 year old and a 7 year old and a 2 month old. After I had my youngest I wan on pain meds and I found that when I would take them they would give me a burst of energy and I would be able to clean house and become supermom. I was able to enjoy spending time with my children without feeling so stressed being the only parent and when I wouldn't take them I was so exhausted and it was hard to get anything done. I ran out and dealt with it and then my husband got some for an earache and I started taking them again. I am almost out and I don't want to have to take them to feel like I have more energy. It's not the high feeling that I am addicted too, it is the energy that it gives me. I am wondering if anyone knows of a safer way for me to get this energy or if anyone has been in my situation and what they did to help them.May be addicted to pain meds need advise?
Yes, you are addicted. No, there isn't anything you can take to get that feeling. You aren't supposed to feel great all the time. That's life. What you have with those pills is unnatural.

You can never take narcotics again. You need to tell your doctor that you're an addict. Believe me, you will ALWAYS find some reason to need a prescription and before you know it, you'll be doing ANYTHING to get them.May be addicted to pain meds need advise?
What bmac said is true. I work in medicine, and you don't know how many people I see all the time that are drug seekers. The best thing you can do is to talk to someone about getting off of them. It's going to be hard, I'm not going to lie to you, but it will be worth it. Your kids will benefit if nothing else. You may think that they give you energy and you are a better person on them, but they have side effects, and some you may not be seeing. There are things that will help with energy, but you won't get the same feeling you got with the meds. You need to work on your health, mental as well as physical. You can try changing your diet and exercising. This can give you a lot of energy.

Talk to someone now!! If not for you, for your kids. Good luck and I wish you the best!!!

Sometimes I get red blotches on my skin that feel a little bit like spots of sunburn. I have very sensitive skin and I am also fighting acne.

The red spots are a little bit dry and I'm not sure what they are.

  • Hibiscus plants - small leaves or less leaves. advise?

I have a rooftop garden with 18 hibiscus plants in pots. The pots are not too large though. The plants are almost 2 years old. I do get flowers from most of the plants on a daily basis. However, the plants look barren and the leaves are very small and very few. When I see other potted hibiscus plants in other houses, I find them leafy. Please adviseHibiscus plants - small leaves or less leaves. advise?
Temperature and sunlight are the main factors here. The night time temperature for your garden shouldn't dip below the 45 F mark (it can occasionally, but it's best to keep'em warm). Daytime temps in the 70's F. Tropical Hibiscus (I am presuming here) like it sunny.

You mentioned that they were in 'small' pots. If they've been in the same pot for 2-3 years they should be checked to see if they need repotting. Pull the plant out of the pot, if there are alot of roots around the edge, probably you need to move the plant into the next size larger pot (if roots are coming out of the bottom, that's a good indicator too - as Reynwater says). Don't move to too large a pot, and plant the plants at the same level they are at in their current pot. In the spring and summer (in cooler climates) they should be getting a regular application of fertilizer, less in the fall and winter (in warmer area's consult your local independent garden center for fertilizing advice).

They should get the occasional pruning as well, to keep the plants compact (for container growing). Spring is the time to do that. Reduce long branches.

    I hope that this helps

Good luckHibiscus plants - small leaves or less leaves. advise?
I brought tropical hibiscus in as the winter approached. I keep them in a sunny kitchen but am having an equivalent problem. They dropped their regular-size leaves and now have small leaves with beautiful pink flowers. I think lack of bright sunlight is the culprit. I am not sure how you deal with that on a rooftop but it may be a seasonal problem. If they can slip through until the sunny warm days the plants may return to their full glory.
Check the bottom of the pots, if you see roots coming out of the holes, they want repotting. Hibiscus are heavy feeders, give them some Miracle Gro. Bloom is encouraged by heat. good luck
    Hibiscus. Which kind?

You need to know which one you have. Unfortunately, garden centers, nurseries and home improvement centers lump all hibiscus together.

If your hibiscus has glossy deep green leaves, 3-6'; flowers of red, pink, orange, yellow, double or single flowers, it is probably a TROPICAL hibiscus. While many common garden varieties have the 3-6'; blooms, many of the hybrid varieties of tropical hibiscus can have blooms around 10'; in diameter under ideal conditions.

Another way to check is if the flowers are salmon, peach, orange, or yellow, or double flowered, then you probably have a TROPICAL hibiscus. Hardy hibiscus do not come in these colors or in doubles! Many tropical hibiscus flowers have more than one color in a bloom either in bands or as spots.

If your hibiscus has dull medium green heart shaped leaves, dinner plate sized white, pink or red flowers with HUGE, bomb shaped buds (2-4'; in length!), it is a perennial, hardy hibiscus.

Hardy hibiscus need very little care over the winter, they are root hardy to about zone 5 with no protection. They die to the ground each year.

If you have a tropical hibiscus, remember it is a TROPICAL. They will not tolerate more than a night or two of light freezes. Even one hard freeze (below 25) could kill the plant. These plants are native to sunny, warm and usually humid tropical places.

They detest cold, rainy weather and cold, wet soil. They will not reliably survive outdoors north of zone 9. In all other areas, it may be a good idea to bring them indoors BEFORE temps regularly drop below 40-45 F at night to avoid any damage.

Treating your tropical hibiscus correctly will give you years of enjoyment. But remember, they are not immortal! Some are spent after 4 or 5 years in a pot and should be tossed away at this point. Try some of the many and never ending new hybrids being developed!

Dogs and rabbits together? Is this smart, even possible without disaster? Anyone have experience/advise? ?

I have two bunnies and really want to have a dog as well. I have read up on it. People have been successful but say you can never leave them alone in the same room. I really want to add a dog to the family but I do not want to be constantly worried something may happen. Does anyone have any experience with this and could give me advise, etc? Thanks!Dogs and rabbits together? Is this smart, even possible without disaster? Anyone have experience/advise? ?
I brought a rabbit home to my dog Biscuit, who is a chihuahua/schnauzer mix. and they get along beautifully. They even chase each-other in the back yard. It's pretty funny to see a rabbit chase a dog...but it's cute. I started with holding the rabbit and introducing her to the dog and showed the dog that she was just as important and couldn't jump on her and such, and after only a few corrections Biscuit knows her limits. This might be a special case though since both my rabbit and the dog are about the same size...Dogs and rabbits together? Is this smart, even possible without disaster? Anyone have experience/advise? ?
If you are completely committed to properly training your dog (not the rabbits) then you may have great success having both species in your household.

Do be wise in choosing the breed of dog. You would not buy a bird dog if you had parrots. Don't buy a hunting breed. Remember that includes Terriers/Ratters, too.

I have a chihuahua who love rabbits - my dwarf breed rabbits are bigger than he is. My dog is well trained and obeys. No chance of rabbits getting harmed by him. I also have a Great Dane. She is another story. She has a strong prey drive. She has killed rabbits before. I've worked with her and supervised rabbit interaction for 2 1/2 years. Now, she guards them and I can't get her to eat rabbit meat. She won't even touch it.

My rabbits are not out all the time and I've always supervised their play time. Rabbits will become friends with anything that does not try to eat them - including dogs and cats. I think it is certainly possible for you to have both dogs and rabbits in your household - just be a responsible dog owner and put in the time required to make a great dog. I know many rabbit owners and most of them have dogs, too.
It seems possible - not with a dog like mine, god knows, but maybe with the right dog.

The only anecdote I have is a friend of mine had a dog %26amp; rabbit who got along, but the rabbit died of a heart attack (the vet thought) one time when the dog was chasing it. Which makes you wonder, was the rabbit scared of the dog, or did he think chasing was a fun game and he just got overstimulated?
This IS NOT a good idea, people may say im a bad pet owner for this, but i dont care as long as it stops any of your bunnies from getting hurt.

I once had my bunny out for some exercise, and my mom opened the door, and my dog ran in, and chased my rabbit! i almost had a heart attack, and if it wasnt for rabbits being so fast, my bunny would be dead right now.

so please DONT put your bunnies and your dogs together.
I guess it's all in the personality of the dog. I have one Labrador that I would trust him with any small pet I've had rats, mice,a wild baby bunny I raised, and ferrets around him, crawling on him, and he never once offered to snap or bit them. And I have another lab that sees those animals as food and I can't let him in the house. If I were you I would try to get a dog that is more of a herd dog instead of the hunting instinct he would have the herding instinct, second I would get it as a puppy and introduce them right away, third you would probably have to train the dog to not chase the bunnies or not to be to ruff.

we had both dogs and rabbits when i was a kid and they did just fine. the dog even cleaned up after the rabbit! gross, yes, but quite handy!

as long as you have a friendly dog, you shouldn't have any problems. we had a lab mix and a cocka-poo and they got along just fine. i'd only be worried about leaving them alone together if the dog was aggressive or overly strong. a pit bull, for example (no hate mail, please, i love pit bulls!!) may not be able to play gently enough and could probably hurt the rabbit. but, again, it depends on the dog's disposition and rearing. e.g., teaching your dog to rip apart stuffed toys is probably a bad idea in this context.

the only natural tendency you will have to really curb in your dog is the desire to chase your bunnies if they run. play-chase is okay (our rabbit loved it), but if the little guy really wants to get away or be alone, the dog needs to respect that. don't forget, too, that a bunny can do real damage with their back claws!

just use caution, common sense and keep an eye on them all until you are confident they're all happy.

    best of luck to you!!!
I would think the only possibility would be if you raised the dog from a puppy around the rabbits? Still I'd think it's a little iffy.

But at the very least, the dog would get lots of exercise before he tasted the rabbit..
golden retrievers r real friendly w/rabbits %26amp; can even b alone w/them all the time. idk bout any other breed but as long as theyr brought up 2gether they dont really hav a problem.

I had my computer checked by the Geek Squad and they found no viruses or any other reason for the pop-ups. I am receiving a lot of full size pop-ups and I think they are being generated by Yahoo. Can you advise?
My Yahoo! toolbar has a pop-up blocker on it. It is on and today says it has blocked 239. So if they are Yahoo! generated maybe that is the pop-up blocker you need. If you look at Tools, Internet Options, Advanced you can choose to stop some things from working - if u want!!! I am receiving a lot of full size pop-ups and I think they are being generated by Yahoo. Can you advise?
The pop ups are just the new changes and arrangements for asking and answering questions on Yahoo! Answers. They made it different now. Whenever you want to answer a question, they will appear with a pop up, for advise to make a good answer, then it might pop up because of your misspellings, or punctuation, or grammar. They made a few touches to the new thing, there isn't any viruses.

  • 1989 Ford Escort GT Manual runs at idle until put in gear, any advise?

I recently purchased a 1989 Ford Escort to get back and forth to work with. This vehicle has been sitting for some time and I have replaced many things on it. I replaced the starter, the battery, the ignition switch, and a few other small things. When I start the vehicle, it runs smoothly, as it does when I push in the clutch, until the gear selector passes into the gate for first gear, then the RPMs drop dramatically to around 100 and idle become very erratic. The vehicle eventually dies if I do not press on the gas to keep it at a higher idle. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I am stumped.1989 Ford Escort GT Manual runs at idle until put in gear, any advise?
clutch is not fully disengageing1989 Ford Escort GT Manual runs at idle until put in gear, any advise?
Most likely the clutch cable needs replacing.
Your clutch isn't disengaging all the way.
possibly needs a cluch adjustment or bad fuel or bad feul pump.....
does it take some effort to put it into gear, like it's slowing down the synchros? I'm thinking it may be a broken clutch fork if that's the case. If, with the clutch in, you are able to shift easily in and out of gear, then possibly the idle speed controller motor.
check to make certain that there is nothing being moved by the action of the gear shifter, no wire, or rod or something that would cause that as this sounds quite strange.

If it is front wheel drive then look carefully at how the shifting rod moves when being shifted into gear, ask a friend to help you so you can watch the motions when the shifter is engaged and dis-engaged as to see if it is interfering with some other function - moving some other part.
Try this test. Start the motor with the gear selector in the neutral position note idle speed using the tachometer. Engage the clutch and note any changes in idle speed when shifting into 1st gear. Next repeat the above procedure but shift the gear selector into 5th gear and observe the tach reading and idle speed. Compare the tach results when you shift into 1st gear vs shifting into 5th gear and note any changes. Post the results. It could be a transmission problem or an engine problem such as vaccum or ignition timing. this test will help to identify the problem

I would like to take my family (2 adults & 16 year girl) to Disney world in Florida in July, can anyone advise?

Looking to get the best deal that will allow my wife %26amp; daughter the freedome of all Disney attractions. Plan to stay 16 daysI would like to take my family (2 adults %26amp; 16 year girl) to Disney world in Florida in July, can anyone advise?
Disney in July... you are ambitious! It will be hot, humid and most likely rain daily. But, don't let that deter you. The rain usually only lasts an hour or so, but it is enough to make it muggy and cause wet feet. The lines will also be crazy in July because kids all over the world are out for summer break. So, make sure they get Fastpasses (free) when they are available.

When you purchase Base tickets to Disney you are purchasing admission to all of the Disney attractions within the 4 major parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. The more days you buy the cheaper per day the ticket becomes.

If you want to enjoy the waterparks (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon) add the Waterparks and More option to your base ticket.

Consider booking an on-site resort, too. This will get them free transportation to the parks, free transportation to and from the airport, lets them into the parks early or stay late during the Extra Magic Hours and guarantees admission to the parks in the event they reach full capacity and close to day trippers.I would like to take my family (2 adults %26amp; 16 year girl) to Disney world in Florida in July, can anyone advise?
While it may appear to be a better deal staying off property, some things to consider while staying on property at a WDW Resort Hotel are having extra magic hours before and after regular park hours to enjoy lighter flow of traffic as well as having the ability to fast pass and avoid tedious lines while enjoying less congested attractions. Park Hopper Option is just the icing on the cake allowing you to travel freely from park to park throughout your stay as opposed to the one park per person per day base ticket. The time and hassle free convenience saved by staying on property yields a better experience and that dollar amount is simply immeasurable.
If you're going to stay that long, I'd be adventurous and move around. Stay a few days in the Magic Kingdom at the Polynesian. It's on the monorail and a ferry ride away from the park.

After that, move over to the Yacht and Beach Club to enjoy their amazing pool. An added bonus, you're within walking distance to EPCOT and a ferry ride away to Hollywood Studios.

Then go over to experience the wonders of Animal Kingdom Lodge. Stay in a room with a view of the Savannah, it's worth the extra bit.

Do the meal plan. Take advantage of free dining over the summer if possible. Don't forget little things like touring the other resorts, playing mini golf and enjoying the water parks. There's also Downtown Disney and so much more.

For such a long trip, you might want to talk to a Disney vacation planner. Everyone gave a lot of good advice -- Have a nice trip!
stay at a value resort...(i recommend pop century) and purchase the meal plan and tickets, hotel and air together, direct from disney or a travel agent...you will get free transportation to/from airport, to each disney park and hotel...extra hours at the parks..your luggaged delivered right to your room...you will be able to eat at any park or hotel inlcuded...reserve a table in advance...use 2 meals and eat at cinderellas castle or other normally more expensive and exclusive places..

If you go aug 16- oct 3 you can take advantage of the free dining plan offer..it will save you hundreds!
First go to the site for these tips:

STAY AT A DISNEY RESORT (a value resort if you wnat cheap, you can afford it)

You will get Extra Magic Hours if you do. Meaning, that if you stay at their resorts, one of the parks will be open early or stay late ONLY for resort guests and you have the park to yourself.

Get the free Dining Plan becaus eyou have a familya nd you're staying lots of nights.

Use their transportation as much as possible to get to the park quicker.

Along with the Magic Hours, if it gets crowdy mid-day, go back to your resort and sleep a while (I RECCOMEND THIS FOR EXTRA MAGIC HOURS DAYS)
i dont have enough time to answer fully

    but my quick advice is

if you're going to be staying 16 days then there better be at least 4 or 5 days of just relaxation.

It's pretty uncommon for people to stay 16 days, you might have to hop hotel rooms.

And get the magic your way park hopper package.
You do no say where you need to travel from? Could it be Ireland, you can easily do your own hotel etc especially if you already have got your Aer Lingus tickets at the cheapest prices.

To help need more info ex Ireland did the trip last October so details still fresh.

Where ever you come from its Heat and Waits.
I like staying on the property because it avoids having to rent a car and pay for parking. Pop Culture is the newest of the least expensive hotels. This year I am also looking for a cheap option because I may have to go alone so I am using Hot Wire and I see great deals. Most of the hotels in the area shuttle you to the parks.
I have an extremely long answer but it would be easier if you would simply email me and I can help you out with this. No, no charge...I just love planning. I can show you how or just do it for you and give you the steps.

I just did this for a military family last night and they were ecstatic!
July is brutal. Pack lots of sunscreen and be prepared for HOT days.

If you are on a budget buy packs of water bottles from grocery stores and bring them with you to the parks.

    You're gonna sweat! Have fun!

    hello ,

unless you have been recently diagnosed with diabetes , these results are unacceptable ,

our goal is fasting blood sugar between (70-130 mg/dl) and postprandial less than 180mg ( 140mg according to American endocrinologists ***.)

where is the problem in your case ?

1- You don't follow your diabetic diet and you eat alot of carbs

    2- You don't exercise !

3- You still bear extra kilograms around your waist

4- Your glycomet dose is very low (you should take 2 gr in divided doses , up to 3 gr daily)

Advice : visit your doctor to correct your medications , he will check if you eat healthy diabetic diet , and will encourage you to do more exercise , he will raise your metformin dose , he may add diamicron 80 mg BID or Diabeta 2.5 mg daily ...

Don't forget that diet and exercise are the cornerstone of controlling blood sugar in diabetics

Wasps i have a phobia please advise me o good deterrents?

I honestly do drive my family crazy but not long till summer time now and only thing that use to stop them from attacking me lol was wasp away and they no longer sell it any other good products to use thank you for any replies :)Wasps i have a phobia please advise me o good deterrents?
I still use the old fashioned jam in a jar method.

I read somewhere years ago that B vitamins (brewers yeast or B complex) stops you from smelling sweet.

Also avoid sweet smelling perfume etc.

I have a net screen at the back door in summer and hang a piece of material with a few drops of eucalyptus oil by the door. as a deterrent to flies, but it seems to work for wasps as well.

The keeping still doesn't always work. I once had one settle on my arm, I sat there calmly waiting for it to go, which it did eventually but not before stinging me first - that was when I discovered I was allergic to the little whatsits. Doctor said they like sweet things! It's not just fruit and sugary stuff but wasps are fond of pork as well which is similar to human flesh apparently.Wasps i have a phobia please advise me o good deterrents?
My Mum used to fill almost empty jars of jam with water and leave them by any open windows - any wasps that came in the house really went for those and soon drowned. It also helps to have the aerosol 'WaspEeze' handy, as it does take away the pain of a sting instantly. And then, yes, keeping calm really is the best way to avoid getting stung! Happy summer!
Cover yourself with Jam and sit in the garden.
Buy wasp traps.....they really do work.

You can get them at most garden centres. You put a bit of juice or pop with a tiny drop of liquid detergent in it to attract the wasps, they fly in there, can't get out %26amp; they drown.

The only icky part is emptying it when it gets full. Never let it get too full or live ones will be in there walking around on their dead relatives. I just take it down - set it in the back of the garden %26amp; hose it out so I barely have to touch it til its empty.

Put the traps away from where you spend time but in the sun...they'll find it.
Drench nest in petrol and add one lit match
I am petrified of them too!

Instead of a deterrent, use a decoy.

Get an empty jam jar and half fill with a sweet lager. Put the jam jar lid on with a hole large enough to just fit a wasp through.

Put the jar away from where you are, but not too far obviously.

Wasps love the beer. They go in through the hole in the lid, drop in the beer and drown very happy wasps.
just sit still, the will only sting if they feel affraid.
I too have this phobia so am answering in the hope that someone has a good answer
SPHEKSOPHOBIA is the fear of wasps and I am a fellow sufferer.

The best thing I have found is.... legs!

Run away from them as fast as you can!

They are evil creatures that have 4 foot long stings and a radar that pulls them toward people like us!

    AAAAAAARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!
Jam jars only attract wasps and bees, buy a good wasp killer.

Wasps will not normally harm you until the Autumn when they are starting to die off, they eat the rotten and fermenting fruit and basically get drunk, which is why they go mental and sting.

two children are accompanying usWhat places in Thailand do you advise to visit?
It depends of how old your children are. If they are older than 5-6 (i suppose), it's possible to attend some nice places with them.

I advise to visit Royal Palace in Bangkok, take a trip on a boat along their small rivers through Bangkok. And shops. Yes. The shopping in Thailand is something! You will see! Low prices and good quality of clothes.

If you go to Pattaya, visit Nong Nooch Orchid Park: you will see so many remarkable things - the ethnic thai show with beautiful dresses and make-up, thai box, dancing elephants. You can take a picture with them, ride them through the park. And, of course, the gardens - you MUST see it or you will regret. Find out in Internet some pictures of this park and imagine, that everything is more vivid, bright and colourful.

As for other places - visit islands, which are situated not far from Pattaya, spend a day laying and swimming there. But don't forget about sun burns! Crocodile farm. (My parents have visited it, but I haven't. But they say it's interesting). Shopping. Of course :))What places in Thailand do you advise to visit?

I was stationed in Karat Thailand in '71 while in the USAF and I remember the beaches being pretty nice. Near Bangkok is busy Pattaya, divided into north, central and south.

Dining and entertainment abound and water sports (water-skiing, windsurfing, parasailing, jet skiing and fishing) keep beach goers satisfied. South of Pattaya, Jomtien is a nicer, quieter beach offering similar facilities. North of Pattaya, Wong Amat鈥檚 narrow beach is a complete break, with just a few restaurants staying open late.

I need an artsy person's advise please and thank you!?

I want to get a tattoo to represent My husband our daughter and myself using our signs.. I am a goat (Capricorn) my husband is an Ram(Aries) and my daughter is a scorpion (scorpio)

    MY IDEA:

Get a scorpion OR the old school sign for scorpio to be a face and do one goat horn and one ram horn.

Do you like? Any one artsy that can help me out???I need an artsy person's advise please and thank you!?
I'm sad to see nobody's encouraging you. Generally I'd not recommend ever getting a tattoo that refers to a love relationship, simply because they can end, but in this case your daughter will always connect you and your husband so I don't see the problem.

As for rams and goats not being graceful enough, big deal. I have a big python wrapped around my ankle. We don't all want fairies and butterflies.

It is a difficult tattoo, though, to combinate those three. You might want to try something with just the black-on-white symbols of these signs. The very basic shapes. You can work them into something bigger! I actually really like the idea of combining the goat, ram and scorpion. There's lots of things you can do with it. My recommendation is talk about it to a good tattoo artist, see what ideas he has. They are the artists :-) mine did a perfect job designing something with just a few clues.

EDIT: oh and by the way, out of my four close Cappy friends, two are tattooed, so I don't think it's ';un-Capricorn-like';. I think some people just think tattoos are beautiful, and some don't.I need an artsy person's advise please and thank you!?
no offense, but i don't really like this idea. goats aren't exactly beautiful creatures, nor are rams, or scorpions, and horns kind of represent a clash or argument....horns are used for fighting or battling, and scorpions are kind of ugly and aggressive. having these things as representative of the ones you love most seems kind of funny. maybe lean more towards the actual symbol for the signs, instead of the animals?

another neat idea might be to incorporate the actual constellations of these horoscope signs, and integrate star patterns into the tattoo somehow. you could combine the various constellations, or even get all three in a neat kind of nightscene.
I'm not really sure what you mean with your design...

but I just want to say this. Right now I'm sure you're so very happy about your family... but what happens if your marriage breaks up, your daughter leaves home, or even you have more children?

Now don't get me wrong. I think tattoos are really a good thing - IF they are done for the right reasons. Don't get this tattoo if you don't understand what the signs are at all. Don't get this tattoo if you're getting it because you never want your family to be broken up. Only get this tattoo if you know what it means and if you want it to REMIND you of what your family has brought you - the positive union of your souls combined. It should be a happy reminder, not sad one - even if your family life is the most positive and happy one anyone could ever experience, you have to be connected with it with a level of accepting of lifes ups and downs and possibilities. It should be an eternal, spiritual reminder of your soul's unions, not of material happiness.

Please don't think I'm being a downer, because I like the idea. This is just my opinion. Just make sure it doesn't cause you more unhappiness than happiness.
Before you get it tattooed on you try a few combinations of the design on your skin with henna or with a sharpie. That way you can see how it looks before you get it done permanently. You might decide you don't like it, but if you do then do it!
You love your husband and your daughter, so why do you need tattoos on your body to reflect this? I wouldn't do it. It's very un-Capricorn of you to want a tattoo in the first place. Wait six months...if you're still DYING to do it, then ask again.
what about a capricorn goat in mars (since mars is the ruler of scorpio and aries) or a martian capricon goat....

39 weeks with movement pains please advise thanks?

I am getting pains at the bottom of my stomach and my hips especially when the baby moves. I do not know what a contraction feels like but the pains only comes on when the baby moves. Is this normal?39 weeks with movement pains please advise thanks?
I would say either the baby bouncing on your cervix or the ligaments in your lower pevis stretching. It happens because the baby has less room and because the baby is moving further down towards the birth canal.

I'm 37.5 and have the same thing going on.39 weeks with movement pains please advise thanks?
I had this with my first child...I carried him to almost 43 weeks!

I have a very short torso and he ended up being very long (8lbs 8.5oz and 22 inches long). Every time he would stretch out, I could feel his toes in my ribcage and his head pressing down on my cervix. Your body can only take so much of that before it begins to hurt.

I would think that what you are feeling is completely normal...but if you have doubts, call your OB as they would be able to put your mind at ease.
Is this your first pregnancy or second?

    I have the same thing

She told me it's cause I'm in my second pregnancy and everything is much more sensitve this time around.
its just the baby pressing on a nerve.

when i was late in pregnancy she would move, then id get this horrible sharp pain in my leg, when i felt her move again, the pain went, like there was nothing there atall.

contractions come very slowly so the pain would start soft and gradually get worse, but just to be on the safe side, ring your doctor just because you are due soon

What city in Spain does anyone advise to have a wedding?

well, the south of spain is very beautiful. i've been to salamanca and a few cities in andalucia (malaga, cordoba, sevilla, granada, la ronda and alicante) and from those i would def. reccommend andalucia. it's an incredibly beautiful region! i went on a road trip there with friends at the end of february and there were almond trees blossoming everywhere... a sheer glory! especially sevilla, cordoba, la ronda are v. beautiful. but by far the best would be granada. this is also the location of the alhambra, a stunningly gorgeous palace built by the arabs who lived in spain in... umm, (i'm so bad with dates!) a very long time ago!

i've also heard only great stuff about barcelona, so these would probably be the best cities to go. salamanca, however, didn't impress me much. and neither did malaga or alicante.

    que te vaya bien!

Parents, what car seat do you recommend and what would you advise against?

my baby is over 9kgs and still in the rear facing car seat however i can see the time is almost here to get the new car seat!! would love to have your reviews thanksParents, what car seat do you recommend and what would you advise against?
dont buy form the internet..defo buy from a shop as you know what you are getting and maybe try halfords as they wil fit it for you and saftey check it xParents, what car seat do you recommend and what would you advise against?
We went with a convertible one, because you will likely want him rear facing until he reaches 1 year or even older. It is safer than forward facing. Our health nurse recommended getting one that converted from back to forward facing and not switching until our daughter started to fuss about looking at a seat all of the time. Look for one that has good back and neck support and features like a cup holder. I know this sounds a little trivial, but once he is a little older, you will want a place to hold snacks and a sippy cup.

Also, take a good look at the buckle system. You will want something that your l/o won't be able to figure out very easily. I know this sounds a little silly, but I know some parents who have had to buy different car seats because their little ones figured out the buckle system and kept unbuckling themselves.

You don't need to spend a lot of money. Look around for a good deal and wait for sales. We got ours at 50% off at Sears because they were having a baby sale where everything in the department was marked down by 20-30% and it was one of their scratch weekends.
I read an article in a parenting magazine talking about evenflo car seats and how they were unsafe. I thought I would pass that information on to you. I would look at babies r us for one that you like and maybe research it a little to make sure it is safe.
We have the Maxi Cosi XP which is FAB...seems to be really comfy for alfie and he is so much happier in it!!!

Just make sure you have it checked in the car before you buy it ;-)
I think try this website http://www.babycarseatsale.com i love the maxi cosi car seat but the color is not that bright
go to babiesRus and try them out. see which one fits your baby best. although i heard that the britax car seats are super safe and nice and comfy/roomy for your baby.
we went to Halfords they advised which was the best one for our car and fitted it for us as well

  • I have really fair white skin what make-up would you advise?

I have reall y fair skin and i have blonde hair i really don't wear much make-up and i have no idea how to apply it i would like to know what to use and what colours can anyone suggest anythingI have really fair white skin what make-up would you advise?
Do you have a Body shop near you? I work at one as a make-up coach %26amp; we offer free consultations. You can phone up or pop in to make an appointment. They will ask what your looking to achieve %26amp; then get the right shade of make-up to suit you and give you a free makeover.

They will give you tips, and write down how to apply the make-up as well as telling you how to do it.

Don't feel silly either, I deal with girls and women on a daily basis who have no clue about make-up and its great to see them leave so happy.

Its worth a try :o)I have really fair white skin what make-up would you advise?
i would stay with pinks and pastels for shadows and blushes. For eyes, get three colors, light medium and dark. The dark shade goes in the crease, the medium shade goes on the lid, and the light shade goes on the brow area. You can go to a make-up counter and ask them to try colors on you as long as you buy something, or you can click on the link below and try a virtual make-over
Paler colours will suit your skin, things like light blues, greens and pink eye shadows....... mascara either black or brown (of if you feel bold you can get blues, pinks and green mascaras) and clear or light brown or pink lip gloss no heavy lipstick or even just use some vaseline...... Maybe a pretty pink blush but nothing to strong..... If you are very fair you will not look very good wearing alot of make up especially if your not use to applying it. Also I would recommend a tinted moisturiser NO7 is good and costs æ‹¢10...... :-) I hope I helped........ The key is to keep it neutral and not over the top pretty summery colours will look stunning
There's no just standard color palette for your type. Do you have freckles? If yes, avoid cold tones as blue/grey. I would suggest beige/brown/pink/warm green tones. Don't use foundation especially in summer. Just put moisturising cream and powder on top. Work perfectly. Maybe start with brown mascara. I would also advise you to go to the store and ask a sales person to help you find suitable makeup. They will walk you around the store and guide you. I do it all the time. Especially with eyeshadows.
heres what i would do...i have fairly pale skin too

foundation-experiment to found the lightest shade u can, but if your skin is clear dont use it

conceler- skip it, if u have undereye circles, covergirl makes a good light shade

lips- vasaline! mositure! if your skins pale the solor of your lips sands out already, why pack on more!

cheeks- a pink flush would look nice...revlon has a nice shade, i think its called think pink.

eyes i depends what color they are. i would skip the eye shadow and just use mascarsa- black. for a little extra some eyeliner. if u have blue eyes a taupe eyeshadow would look pretty

    =)
i would wear a light mineral foundation with some sort of SPF so you don't burn. i use id minerals and i love it and it keeps me from burning, or you could try Bobbi brown light tinted moisturizer., that also has SPF

I m travelling to N. York for a vacation. Any good advise on what area to stay in?

I am a female %26amp; will be travelling alone,

I will not be renting a car ..

also I like to shop and eat.

Thanks in advance.I m travelling to N. York for a vacation. Any good advise on what area to stay in?
i would say midtown or the upper east side.

the hilton in midtown is excellent.

midtown and the upper east side are the safest areas so thats why there good. :)

-JasonI m travelling to N. York for a vacation. Any good advise on what area to stay in?
Its an advantage not to have a car. The small ';boutique'; hotels downtown are the coolest and close to SoHo which is shopping and eating central. No area of Manhattan has very much crime, so don't worry about that. The Upper East Side is the old ladies neighborhood, but Madison Avenue does have the most exclusive European designer shopping. The East Side is also good for museums, but the food is better downtown at any price level. Midtown/Times Square has Broadway, Rockefeller Center The Empire State Building and other tourist things.
Without knowing your budget, I can only suggest that you stay at the Hilton on Sixth Avenue (54th St) which would be safe for a woman alone, and that will put you centrally located for many things: shopping, restaurants, and that you get some of those one-day transportation passes

    x
Depending on you price range, my advice want be stay in Midtown, Manhattan because you'll be near all the major attractions, places to shop and eat. I have attached a link to Yahoo Travel below.

try painting, first make as may paintings, eg, Glass paintings, canvas paintings, fabric paintings, nib paintings etc. you dont need painting skill because most of the paintings can be done by copying.

after that set up a small stall outside you house and can sell those paintings.

once you catch up you could very well gets more ideas on more items to be sell.I am looking to get in to a home bussiness. Can you give me some advise ?How to start. what should i look for.
    Hi b_rintala,

    Nice day to you.

Here is the suggestion to start an internet home business

I'll divide my answers into few section. Wish this answers can give you some reveals how to start your own online business and bring you to success.

    Answer 1

Do you have any ideas in what kind of products or services you are going to sell for your online business?

My suggestion is, find somethings you are really interesting with it and you can pay fully passion with it. Otherwise you will give up very very soon. Many successful internet millionaires start their online business with their own interest.

    Example

-Sport website - they love football, NBA, Formula One, etc.

-Travelling hot spots website - they love travelling.

-Food recipe website - they love cooking.

-Entertainment website - they love music, movies, idols.

-Pets website - they love animals.

-Loves website - they are experts in dating.

    and many more.

Start today, think what you are really interesting in?

    Answer 2

Make sure the products or services you are going to sell with an existing huge market. Do the market research before you start your business. A business won't make money even he has a perfect product or service but there are no market require for that product or service.

There are many low cost online softwares can help you to determine whether your business with an existing hungry market or not.

    Answer 3

Create a website. There are many online experts can help you to build up a business website just within 1-2 weeks time. You no need to know anything about web design or programming.

Just let them know what kind of business you wish to start up, they will help you to create all the business features and tools on your website and make it looks professional.

    Answer 4

Now you have a best product to sell but your business still can not earn money if you don't have a good marketing strategy. Takes a look at McDonald. McDonald is not selling the best burger in the world, but he own the most franchises all around the world. His successful secret is applying an excellent strategy into his business but not selling the best burger in the world.Get the online supporting team to consult your business step by step to success.

Wish this opinions can help you.

    Wishing you success.

p.s : I have to make my explanation in short summarize. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.Anyway, please do not feel hesitate to send me an email if you have any extra queries or wish to share my experiences.

    Kindest Regards,

    Chris.

When I was getting advise from a personal trainer ...?

He said that it is best to not drink any liquid before, during or after a meal

    Why is this?

I guess that it is because liquid can expand the stomach. This is what competitive eaters do - drink lots of water to stretch the stomach.

After the diet, I felt like I couldn't eat as much as before the diet. When I was getting advise from a personal trainer ...?
well not only does it expand your stomach, but it makes the food you eat softer, making it passes through you quicker. This makes you eat more! When I was getting advise from a personal trainer ...?
That is not very good advice he gave you. Drink water. Not only is it used in the processing of the foods we eat it also help you keep from over eating.

Hi I'm Master's & wana get settle in USA or in Canad,is there any one who can advise me what do i have to do?

I have never applied for visa before and don't know about the imigration rules,so I want someone who is aware of this and can guide me well.Do I have to find job myself and then have to apply for visa, or try to get visa first and then to find job?I'm so much confused!Hi I'm Master's %26amp; wana get settle in USA or in Canad,is there any one who can advise me what do i have to do?
Here are the official immigration websites for both countries.

    Canada: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/

    U.S.A.: http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/

If you are able to find a job with an employer who will agree to sponsor you for immigration purposes, it may expedite the process. However, there are some limitations in regards to this, such as the visa only being good for as long as you work for that employer.

Otherwise, applying for immigration and then applying for a job once it is granted would be your option. This can be a very lengthy and expensive process (1-5+ years and $1,200+, depending on your circumstances and which country you apply for).

I would highly recommend reading through the above websites, then post more questions as they arise. Also, you can email me at pynkgold@aol.com and I will help as much as I can.

Whats one piece of advise you could give to me as a young woman?

If you can tell one piece of advise to another women what would that be?

ThankyouWhats one piece of advise you could give to me as a young woman?
If you find someone you love then fight for that relationship. Don't expect for it to ';just work out.'; If you love them then give it your all. Give that person a little tender, loving care every day. Buy or do things for them just because. Stroke their head while they are sleeping. Make them a cake when they are sad. Explore the world and life with that person. Don't go a day without SHOWING and TELLING your significant other that you love them. Pour everything you have into that loving relationship because even IF it doesn't work out you'll still have the most fantastic memories to last a lifetime and you'll be able to say you've loved and been loved in return at least once in your life.

Let your logic guide you but don't be afraid to let your emotions play a part in the grander scheme of things. Emotions are what makes us human. Emotions are the reason we love and we hurt. Emotions are one of the most important aspects because emotions help make up our humanity.

Kill 'em with kindness. Seriously. It's hard to be mean to someone when they are being so nice to you. Show courtesy and respect to the men and women around you. Always offer to lend a helping hand.

And most importantly, smile. Smile when you're happy, when you're nervous, when you're sad, excited. Smile just for the sake of smiling. Smiling lights up your face and once you smile so long your feelings will eventually be persuaded to align with that bright smile. It will make you much happier.Whats one piece of advise you could give to me as a young woman?
do not let the media (tv radio papers web ect) or other humans control your life! YOU control it don't give up the one thing in this world you can control that is your actions your emotions and your thoughts!

be proactive for yourself and you won't fall into catergories like feminist or tomboy or whatever!

    Be you!

    Love yourself!

    Enjoy life!

and as the guy said! don't sweat the small stuff! he is dead on!
    1) Don't hang out with man-hating feminists. You don't need to attach yourself to a subculture in order to feel accepted.

    2) Be yourself and be confident. People will respect that more than you know.

    3) Remember that when you get older, everything will be a lot clearer.

OK that's 3. #1 works for me but #2 might be better for you. ;-)
    ';Develop interest in life as you see it; in people, things, literature, music - the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls and interesting people. Forget yourself.';

Anyday above ground is a good day!!!!!!!
Be true to yourself - if it doesn't feel right, then it isn't. Don't be stay with a guy if it doesn't feel right, don't do something if it doesn't feel right. Don't be afraid of being alone, with friends you'll never be lonely. When it's right - whatever it is - you will know it.
Please work on developing a strong moral compass. Don't compromise your values to gain acceptance. And despite what others may say here, don't trust your feelings. They will deceive you. Feelings should never be used to determine the rightness or wrongness of an important decision.
I don't know how old you are, but I would say don't marry young. I got married to my first Husband at 19 and he ended up being abusive. My Husband now (2nd Husband) was married before as well at 18 and she cheated on him.

    I hope this helps.

BTW... We are happily married in our mid- twenties.
Don't rush into anything. Learn the lessons that life has to teach you. Boys can wait; Life won't.Believe in yourself. Have the tough skin of an elephant. Do a good deed once in awhile. You'd be surprise at how good it makes you feel and how extremely happy you'll make the other person.
Respect yourself and this will ensure others will respect you. Obtain your education and career goals before entering into a serious relationship so you never have to settle for less than you desire for yourself.
You can become an air hostess and wear a nice uniform and fly all over the world serving successful businessmen.
HAVE SELF RESPECT! there are enough crazy, young, lonely, desperate chicks running around getting knocked up and living off of tax payer money.
Keep your legs closed, your eyes open and your mouth shut until you can sum up your entire thought in one sentence.
I would urge her to distinguish verbs like (advise) from nouns like (advice) especially when posting at GWS.
    Live like no one's watching.

Don't be afraid to be yourself - because it's the only way you'll truly be happy, no matter what anyone else tells you.
Be independent. wait along time if you want to get married, like 30. become super educated and pursue anything that interests you at all.
Finish college, you arent in love, dont smoke, go ahead and wear the funky hat.
My advice : If you're ';allergic'; to pills, carry condoms instead.
Be strong, independent and love yourself.
    Don't sweat the small stuff.
Always...and I do mean ALWAYS put the toilet seat up for your man.....its just polite.
    Don't sleep around. : )
find a job to support yourself! do not depends on others totally!
    wear heels.. what out for ice.. dont mix drinks.. dont take things that are not for you.. and stay away from ';dat white liqour';
you contact me for a good time.
Don't have kids until you or your husband can financially support them.

And if you've already got 6. You DON'T need another 8.

Also, get married while you still have your young looks. You'll have more of a selection available then.
always shake the ketchup before you use it,

    and

you can wind men around your little finger whenever you want, it just takes practice ;)

  • Real estate agents always advise buying rather than renting. But what if you can never afford down payment?

You know. Living check to check in an area where the average home price is $275,000. Poverty is what keeps folks in apartments. Never being able to save enough to get that cash for down payments and hefty mortgage payments. I know, you shouldn't make your landlord rich. I've heard it 1,000 times. But I don't think people actually want to make their landlord rich by choice.Real estate agents always advise buying rather than renting. But what if you can never afford down payment?
I rent a house for about half of what my costs would be if I bought it, and I am not poor. I don't live check to check either. I save the difference and am planning on buying a house for cash in a cheaper part of the country when I retire.

If you can't save, you are living at or above your means and need to cut back.Real estate agents always advise buying rather than renting. But what if you can never afford down payment?
People with good financial sense know that renting is a dead end. How do you get from renting to buying?

    1. Never buy anything on a credit card that you can't pay off completely when you get the next statement unless it is a life or death situation.

    2. Don't buy new cars. Newer used cars are a much better value. Reliability and gas mileage are first priorities in choice.

    3. Trim down your repeat expenses. Do you really need caller ID on your phone? How much do you spend on cable tv each month? Do you eat fast food for lunch each day when you could be bringing lunch? Do you smoke? Take a good look at all your bills that come in monthly and find ways to trim them down.

    4. Start off small. It's much better to be BUYing a 800 sq ft condo than renting a 1100 sq ft apartment. You can sell it later to trade up. Location is everything. A place in the getto is going to cost more than one that isn't because of neighborhood crime and eventual re-sale value when you upgrade.

    5. Sweat equity. Is there a place with SURFACE damage that you can fix up? It might help you get a deal on the price. A dump that needs structural work or all new appliances does not qualify. A place with a bad landscape that you can improve does.

    6. Look for an opportunity to BE THE LANDLORD. Can you buy a 2 br place and rent out one room? Can you buy a duplex?

    7. Learn about taxes and save the right documentation in an ORGANIZED file.

    8. Make your savings hard to access. It's better to have a savings account at a credit union with hours that make it closed when you are available to go there. Then use automatic deposit to save for your down payment.

    9. Learn about credit scores and make yours good. Your mortgage rate will be a function of your credit score. If you don't pay your creditors, you will pay a lot more interest on any loans you have.
My partner and I went to Wells Fargo bank, zero down. $3,000 closing costs. It took some work to find a banker to work with us, but you can find them.

We now have a new 3 bedroom condo-1300 square feet. Keep searching, it can be done.
I understand what your saying but they have a lot of first time homeowner programs some where you need little or no money down. I've learned as long as your credit is good you can pretty much get whatever you want whether you can afford to pay for it or not. Hence why so many houses are being foreclosed on now!
Look into housing programs in your area, there are several government funded first time buyer programs and check with your bank...it might meet a higher interest rate to begin with but it could help you get started. Talk with these real estate agents...they want to sell more than you want to buy, and they know the business; they can give you ideas on how to get started. And just because you take their advise doesn't mean you have to buy a house from them...buy owner sales are usually several thousand less than the same place sold by a realtor.
Not true. I have advised clients on many occasions to continue to rent and look at buying when there situation improves.
First, you can rent with option to buy.

Second, the idea that renting is always more expensive than buying - it depends.

If you bought a house for $275,000, put 20% down, and have a $2000 monthly mortgage, at the end, you're probably paying $720,000 for a house that's worth $500,000 at the end of 30 years.

If you pay $1000 a month rent for 30 years, you've paid $360,000. If you put the other $1,000 into the stock market, and got an average return of 9% annually (which is less than the historic rate), you would also be sitting on a cool million, much more than what thehouse is worth.

The value is a combination of housing appreciation, what you pay in rent, what you pay in mortgage - so gotta check the facts.
    Buy vs. Rent.

As housing market slump, it is easier to calculate ';Rent vs. Buy'; scenario. Because ';appreciation'; is no longer a factor.

Mortgage payment consists of two parts: interests and principal. Interests are like rent, which doesn't add to the equity to your house. It simply disappear as your pay it.

If interests portion of the mortgage payment is roughly equal to rent of equivalent property, then it is a decent buy.

For example, let's buy a $500,000 condo with 0% down and apply interests only loan (just like renting a place). Mortgage payment would be $3250/month. It is a bad buy, because you can enjoy same property for $2000/month.

Please note that I assume the tax benefits from home cancel out fees from home association and property tax. For more accurate calculation, consult with your CPA or accountant. But NOT your realtor, whom will say anything to get the deal to go through.

And again, if you like a particular property, then paying more may be reasonable. You are the only person who can decide how much more premium you are willing to pay.

I am a mortgage loan officer. And I think that you need to give your RE agent a chance to see what they can do for you. As a loan officer I have access to working with 100's of banks who all provide different programs and some include 0$ down. So give it a shot as long as you have a bank account, a steady job, good credit, I think that there may be something that could be done for you, there are also programs for first time buyers you may want to look into that and the payment will not be too much more than what you pay now.
I don't see the question in your question.

Of course, realize that real estate agents get paid commissions on the purchase of homes...and only an infetessimal fraction of that amount on the rental of an apartment (and that only in the few isolated occasions where an agent deals in rental management). So they have a vested interest in converting renters to buyers. Same reason a Coke salesman won't sell you Pepsi.

Yes, it's always more economically advantageous over the long run to purchase than rent. But if you are unable to purchase, the entire comparison is academic.

Don't sweat it. There's nothing wrong with renting if you're happy, your family's happy and you're keeping your head above water.
Buy. Renting does not get you anywhere, unless you are moving elsewhere soon. Your real estate agent will find programs with zero down payment. The real estate market is down now and it is a great time to buy.
I agree. If you don't have it then don't do it. Why be in a financial burden just because someone tells you it's making someone else richer? I recommend buying ahouse when you're financially ready and you have all your ducks in a row. Good luck.
Yes, it is hard. But most states and the Federal Department of Housing have programs to allow people to buy with no or very little money down. You really have to do your research though so you don't get scammed.

Good luck and check out this:
