I would like to know if i would be breaking the law by sunbathing naked in my back garden. Advise please.?

I have a large hedge at one side of the garden and a high fence at the other. If i ask my neighbours if they mind me doing it then i suppose that would make them more likely to look over into my garden. Nakedness is our natural state and i have a sense of freedom being without clothing.I would like to know if i would be breaking the law by sunbathing naked in my back garden. Advise please.?
No it's not as it isn't a public place. Obviously if they do catch a glimpse of you they may be offended but there isn't nothing illegal about it.

And all the people saying if someone sees you its indecent exposure you are all wrong indecent exposure is when you are in a public place and your intentions are for people to see you.I would like to know if i would be breaking the law by sunbathing naked in my back garden. Advise please.?
Ask at your local police stationwhat would happen , if children were to see you from their bedroom window

No problem if you are not overlooked by anyone. In your case, i'm not too sure. Legally, if there is any possibiity of someone seeing you naked, you are at risk of being charged for inappropriate behaviour. and you may incur a penalty. The thing is that your views, however sincere, may not be acceptable in law...
you can always call your local desk sargent or next time you see a cop ask them they are the best to tell you and if it is your yard and your yard is not in public view due to the hedge and fence i say you should be fine and you do not need to tell your neighbors but if they have children it is a respect thing and i would
i think it deps on your states laws but if you have privacy hedges %26amp; a high fence up i think its legal. now see if the ppl next door happen to peer into your yard they are invading your privacy. there are actually laws against that! lol

if need be just call the local police station and they can tell you. i see no problem in it personally %26amp; agree it is natural. heck i was just talking about this the other night to my husband =)
well if you are thinking of sunbathing naked in your back garden...there is absolutely no problems with that. let me ask you one thing..would you roam naked in your house with all the curtains and blinds open. just be careful if you have any children around your neighbourhood..coz if they see you naked and if their parents found out..you can be in lot of trouble. my honest advise to you is dont do it.
It really depends on your local laws. Your best bet would be to inquire with a local law enforcement officer.

Generally speaking, as long your not plainly visible, and someone must ';go to the trouble'; to have to see you, then you are not breaking the law.
There is no law against nudity in the UK.

There are other things that the law could get you on but if you are taking the necessary steps that the general public would not be offended then there is nothing they can do.
No of course not, your land, your sunbathing, go for it. Don't feel shy let it all hang out, at the end of the day it is their fault for looking, you don't force them to look at your balls.
No you just can't be naked in public except in a changing rooms/public shower or nudist beach etc. Your house isn't public and it's your neighbours fault if they look over and they shouldn't be so nosey.
If you don't mind their looking, and they don't mind their looking, it's not a problem.
probably not

I say go for it (Y)
I don't think it's illegal.
If your neighbours can see you from an up stairs window it classed as its indecent exposure .And if children can see you ,you would be in serious trouble. How would you like it if you had children looking out of their bedroom window only to see an old man sunbathing naked.

Edit

If you take notice of this uninformed lot you will get in trouble.
yes - its indecent exposure - you maybe doing it in your backgarden but its in public - and classed as such
