When you lose your job should you advise your landlord? can you be evicted?

I lost my job should I tell my landlord? would he be legally allowed to evict me from my apartment? is job loss a reason to break a lease? where do i stand? im at a loss of what to do - unployment will run out for me in late march and im not having luck finding a jobWhen you lose your job should you advise your landlord? can you be evicted?
No, you are not.

They cannot evict you unless you DON'T pay.

The landlord is not your parent...you are not obligated to tell them anything about your personal life unless it IMMEDIATELY affects them, such as not being able to pay rent at all.

PS: YOU ARE NOT required to tell your landlord if you lost your job...doesn't matter what is written in the lease...I swear, I have no idea where some posters get their information from.

If you are losing your job but can still pay rent each month and fullfill the terms of your lease, then I see no reason to tell them your personal business.

If losing the job means that you will no longer be able to afford the rent, then I would let the landlords know. Tell them you will do what you can to help them get another tenant in so that you do not have to be evicted or suffer any judgements on your credit.
A job loss a reason to break a lease. I would address your job loss with the landlord forthwith If you can not make the current payment, renegotiate the rent to what yo can afford. Many apt are now vacant the landlord does not want more vacant Apts. If this is not possible outline your move-out date with the landlord. The landlord does not want to evict you unless you refuse to leave. By all means protect your apt credit report by not be evicted.
this is sooo easy; if you have $ in the bank and can pay rent,

where you work and if you work is not important.

if you in fact have run out of money and you have no job, that

is another story. but no need to put junk in the soup.

YOUR lease is not in jeopardy till you violate it. IF it

states ';you must inform your LL if you lose your job'; then

you must tell him.
You don't necessarily have to let your landlord know, but if you can't afford rent...you can and should be evicted. It is not your landlord's job to support you.

And...no, losing your job is NOT a legal reason to break your lease.
Tell your landlord and see how it goes. Yes, you can be evicted, but if you are a good tenant, he or she may work with you.
i wouldn't i would wait about a week and try and get another job if u can't then c if those one people that gives people food stamps and stuff can help ya out
