There is certainly enough to see and do in Rome to keep you occupied for more than 4 days. A longer stay will allow you to take your time to see everything. When will you be there? stay 4 days because there is a lot to see in Rome and it is a big city, if you stay 3 days it will be rushed like i was, so stay for or more, is you are just touring around 4 to 5 days is good, but if your shopping stay at least a week to see everything and to shop around for key rings and souvenirs

I stayed there a month and never saw everything. Stay close to downtown and a metro stop. Metro (subway) is cheap and will take you to the most important things to see. It's easy to figure out.........Buses will be confusing and cabs are too expensive.....';.Rick Steve's'; is the best travel book and well worth the money. Buy one before you go and have a plan before you get there. It'll change but at least you'll have an idea. You can blow a whole day just ';thinking'; about where to go. Do it before you leave, it adds that much more time to your vacation......It's awesome!

4 days for sure. there is so much to do here that 3 days will do nothing for you. 4 days is short but you'll get to see more. have fun! ciao.
Based on a recent visit, three days will probably be good. Hotel and cabs are very expensive. Walking is your best value....you can see alot in a day.
i'd say that three days aren't enough....u would miss many seesights!.....rome has tooo many things to see......go for four days,trust me!
